Solar Energy for outdoor swimming pools in Saarbrücken |

Outdoor swimming pools can be heated by solar energy, without any additional fossil energy. The cheapest solar systems (by absorber) are the best fitted. The first installation has been realised at Saarbrücken in 1986, two other swimming pools were equipped later. All systems are working at the best. The total solar energy used is about 600 MWh annually for the 3 installations, corresponding to 60,000 litres of oil.
