Presentation of the organisation:

Doncaster is an historic market town located on the river Don in South Yorkshire, 278 Km north of London & 75 Km from the East Coast.
The town has traditional links with the development of steam & diesel locomotives, was located in the centre of the Yorkshire Coal Fields and is the home of the St Leger Classic Horse Race, which is still run at the Group 1 Town Moor Racecourse.
Doncaster today is a vibrant town which is applying for city status, with good road & rail links to all parts of the country & has a new thriving airport, which in twelve months has achieved the fifth busiest airport in the UK.
Doncaster offers good recreational facilities with parks, cinemas, museums, selection of golf courses & easy access to open countryside.





Actions implemented in the field of building performance:

All utilities are continually monitored and compared to national and local performance indicators.
Energy efficient controls & optimisers are installed to all boiler plant.
Boiler plant replacement is carried out to an Asset Plan based on age & efficiency.
All plant is serviced to manufacturers instructions on a planned maintenance schedule & efficiency checks are carried out & recorded.
Water meters have been down sized to achieve optimum costs.
Surface water charges have been separated from sewage charges.
Evaporation losses have been claimed for swimming pools.
Trials have been carried out with biomass fuels.
Urinal controls are installed to all toilets.
Intelligent lighting is extensively used.
Pool covers are used on all swimming pools.
Low energy lighting is standard, small diameter high efficiency tubes are fitted as standard.
Energy reports are prepared for all sites.
Energy management package is used to ensure optimum tariff.
Loft insulation installed to all buildings.
Cavity wall insulation installed in all domestic buildings.
Variable speed drives used on H & V plant.
