Energy Awareness Plus Event - London

On the 16th of November at Glaziers Hall, Southwark, London the Energy Awareness Plus event jointly organised by Bristol City Council and Milton Keynes Council played host to around 60 delegates from a wide range of Central & Southern England.
These energy and sustainability professionals, mainly from local authorities came along to hear presentations from a diverse panel of speakers including representatives of the Display Campaign, De Montfort University (DMU), Global Action Plan, the Local Government Association and Bristol City Council & Milton Keynes.
Topics covered during the day included the sharing of innovative activities experiences from European Display partners such as Salerno, Lille and Udine as well as the work in schools carried out by DMU and the wider community based activities of Global Action Plan. Dr Richard Bull of DMU also presented his findings in relation to his study into the Science of behaviour change.

A lively question and answer/discussion session brought the day to a close with delegates taking away a greater sense of clarity in how to communicate energy efficiency and building labels to staff and building users alike.

Presentations from the event are available on the Display Campaign website.

A Special thanks to our UK sponsors Scottish & Southern Energy, Power Perfector, Isocovers, Systemslink & Thorlux Lighting.
