From the beginning of the Display® Campaign, a growing database has been used to continually adjust benchmarks ensuring that Display® poster classifications are strict yet adjusted to reality.
At first, driven by the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), we focussed on European energy and carbon benchmarks. With the increasing interest in water management and rising costs of this precious resource, Display® finds itself in the unique position of having 16,500 buildings with water data and over 40,000 poster calculations.
The Display® team recently evaluated the benchmarks for all our building types and found that water management has improved since the beginning of the Campaign. Therefore, water benchmarks have been adjusted for 9 of the 16 building types.
Looking at the table you can download below one will see that there have been significant changes indicating the increased importance of water management in public buildings in Europe (changes are marked in yellow).
Please note that the database will be saved before the new benchmarks are implemented as all previous posters will be recalculated to ensure that the correct comparisons are made annually.
Please feel free to contact the Display® team if you wish to have your previous poster calculations or have any further questions: Peter Schilken www.energy-cities.eu/peter
