Through raising awareness you can change behavior and so reduce your energy and water consumption. You can benefit from experienced assistance in Municipal decision making. There is much improvement potential amongst users and managers of municipal buildings concerning energy and water consumption.

 Anticipate the implementation of national law

The European Buildings Directive will soon be implemented as national law.

What tools are available to me?

Municipalities taking part in the Display® campaign are provided with an online tool that enables them to calculate a building’s energy, water and CO₂ consumption, classify buildings, from A to G, according to a similar scale used for household electrical appliances, display results within public buildings using the Display® voluntary label.

The calculation tool also enables them to:

 assess the performance of each building, which may lead to the implementation of a municipal improvement plan,

 compare, year by year, the performances of a building in terms of energy consumption, CO₂ emissions and water consumption and to measure progress,

 compare performances of their buildings with other European municipalities.
