Presentation of the organisation:

Ivanić-Grad - small town near Zagreb, an oasis of pristine nature, harmony of urban and rural, desirable place for quality living with many resources and business possibilities, very sportive town.

Ivanić-Grad successfully keeps in balance:
- urban vs. rural
- SME vs. corporation
- agricultural vs. industry
- industry vs. housing
- production vs. commercial
- dynamic growth vs. safeguard environment

Development

In 2006. Town of Ivanić-Grad has created 43 development projects.
They cover many fields important for the town development such as:
- enterprise zones
- developing stable investment possibilities
- physical and urban planning
- traffic infrastructure and public utilities equipment
- organization of settlements and housing
- special care for young, older and social vulnerable citizens
- education, sport, culture
- protection and improvement of natural environment
- eco-tourism and health tourism (Naftalan)
- energy efficiency

Some projects will be financed through the city budget and now we are building capacity for using of EU pre-accession funds.





Actions implemented in the field of building performance:

1. Eco street light
2. Wind solutions
3. Measuring and reducing air pollution
4. Measuring and reducing noise
5. Biomass wood
6. Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), CO2 storage in oil fields
7. Healthy city (walking and cycling)
8. Sustainable urban planning (barriers removing)
