4 new Shining Examples

Due to the very high standard of the 8 authentic and diverse TCA Award applications that we received this year, we decided to select four of the candidates as Display shining Examples.
The Display® team did not just choose the four best TCA applications but based its selection criteria on the following: the originality of the communication strategies; the number of posters displayed; the creative tools that were designed; synergies with other partners, government or media; and the budget that the cities had at their disposal.
After analysing in detail each campaign, the following cities were chosen as Shining Examples:

Ivanic-Grad, Croatia
Lviv City Council, Ukraine
Molenbeek - Brussels, Belgium
Highland Council, Scotland

The commune of Molenbeek in Brussels (BE) showed a lot of creativity to develop different tools that allow buildings users and visitors to contribute to a better management of energy within municipal buildings. With a didactic thermometer, a Help Desk direct phone line, Display® posters in two languages and an example of one of their GGG rated schools on National TV; the commune has raised their citizens’ awareness about energy efficiency.

The example of Ivanic-Grad (HR) is a reminder of the potential impact that Display® posters can have when produced in a very large size and clearly visible on symbolic municipal buildings. Basing its strategy on poorly rated buildings, together with a strong involvement of the media and citizens, Ivanic-Grad used Display as a political tool to show that they are actively renovating their public buildings.
